Amidst an astonishing offensive turnaround and a surprisingly competent rotation effort, the Rangers have also moved to fix a struggling pen, beginning with moving Neftali Feliz (RHP, TEX) out of the closer role. Following several years of health and rehab issues, Feliz's velocity has been inconsistent from game to game, while the rest of his repertoire is unimproved and unimpressive. His 7.6 Dom through 18 IP is well off his peak 2009-10 efforts, a 4.6 Ctl is moving in the wrong direction, and his inability to generate GBs isn't helping. A 5.09/5.07 ERA/xERA speaks for itself. He's now on the DL with what has been described as "an axillary abscess on his right side." Feliz is unlikely to get another closing shot unless...
