Apart from Lance Lynn (RHP, TEX) and the development of the bullpen, the club has been an 11-18 disaster. With an offense just third from the bottom in MLB scoring and a rotation with a fifth-from-the-bottom 5.45 ERA even with Lynn, we wonder how the Rangers have won that many games. A legitimate Cy Young candidate controlled through 2021 at a paltry $9M+, Lynn would seem to be untouchable in most situations. But now on a club with seemingly little hope of competing next season and desperate need of help almost everywhere aside from the pen, Lynn may be the trade market's hottest pitching commodity.

Obviously any Lynn move would return a prospect package and perhaps salary relief. But depending on that return, it would...
