PT TOMORROW: AL West—The Kelenic reboot

With the off-season acquisition of RF Teoscar Hernández and AL ROY Julio Rodríguez now a CF fixture, only left field looks uncertain entering spring training. The early Jarred Kelenic (OF, SEA) noise is positive, he's penciled in vR—and the club will likely give him plenty of March/April rope to lock that down. Kelenic has struggled mightily in his MLB efforts over the 2021-22, and now owns a .168/.251/.338 line with 21 HR through 558 PAs on the eve of his third MLB try. His power metrics grew last season (124/138 PX/xPX over 163 AB), but Kelenic's problem to date has been getting to it consistently enough (career 67% ct%, 87 HctX). He'll need to show improvement quickly on a club expecting another postseason...
