Even the most competitive clubs have a black hole (or a string of them) in their offensive lineup nowadays, but few hold a candle to Elvis Andrus (SS, OAK). Through 114 AB, Andrus owned a .158/.203/.211 line, with no HR, just 5 RBI. An 80% ct% and 3/1 SB/CS were the only glimmers shining through this mess, but per recent comments from Mgr Bob Melvin, the A's seem committed to "giving him at-bats" to get Andrus back on track. Those subscribing to Andrus's recent "uptick"—4 hits in his most recent 13 AB, including a double and a triple—these were only the fourth and fifth xBH of the entire season; he has a long way to go.

Many here viewed Andrus as a rebound candidate following a down short-season 2020 (.191 BA over 103...
