PT TOMORROW: AL West—The CF hole in OAK

Oakland Athletics

We suggested back in February that the outfield had train wreck potential—and we weren't far off. Khris Davis' .244 BA leads all OAK OF to date, and only he and Matt Joyce have an OPS exceeding .650. But the most glaring weakness has been in centerfield, where Raj Davis has been a disaster on both sides of the ball. On offense, Davis has continued his 2016 2H fade, posting a .210/.270/.308 line through 224 AB while hamstring issues have limited him to just 15 SB. He's been relegated to part-timer status, picking up just 79 AB since June 1 while spending most of his time in left field, as Jacob Brugman (OF, OAK) has taken over most of the CF duties.

Unfortunately through 92 AB, Brugman has yet to look like he's ready...

Almost!
