The Astros' pitching hasn't skipped a beat since losing pitching coach Brent Strom—widely credited with recent-year successes at the MLB level—to ARI.  Entering the final day in May with an MLB-best 2.30 ERA for the month, HOU pitchers led the AL with a 2.86 staff ERA. And while much of this is due to a much improved (and fortunate) bullpen effort, the May surge put the HOU rotation back atop the AL West where it's been consistently in recent seasons. Still, the club appears to have some upcoming decisions with which to wrestle beginning in June.

The closest of these is the role of Jake Odorizzi (RHP, HOU), who landed on the IL with ankle injuries following a May 16 on-field incident that looked more serious than it was....
