The immediate 2024 Opening Day rotation outlook for what was the worst team in baseball in 2023 (50-112 W-L) looks even worse now that hard-throwing (and oft-injured) rookie Mason Miller has been ticketed for the bullpen, at least for the time being. At the time of this writing, we have 14 names projected for OAK SP innings, likely an incomplete list that includes some WAGs (wild-azz guesses)—and no one that fantasy managers can hang their hats on, particularly in leagues where Wins remain a scoring stat. The A's used 25 different SPs in 2023, with an AL-worst 5.74 ERA and rotation turnover that looks likely to repeat this season.

But as of Opening Day, J.P. Sears is the only current name projected for a (barely)...
