Mike Wright (RHP, BAL) made quite the splash, opening his major league career with 14.1 scoreless innings (7 H, 3 BB, 10K). How long might he hold onto a rotation spot?

Start with the fact that Bud Norris (RHP, BAL), for whom Wright is presumably filling in, had a disastrous outing May 22 for Triple-A Norfolk as he works his way back from bronchitis (2.2 IP, 9 ER, 12 H). Norris is eligible to be activated from the disabled list May 26 but also can be kept on rehab for up to 30 days; the results of his first AAA outing would seem to dictate at least one more minor-league start, if not a full month’s respite.
