Just as the offense seemed to be nearing full strength, the Yankees suffered another blow this week when Giancarlo Stanton (OF, NYY) hit the IL with a PCL sprain in his right knee, likely keeping him out action until August.

Mike Tauchman (OF, NYY) received the initial call-up in the wake of the injury, and will be with the team for their London series this weekend against the Red Sox. The left-handed Tauchman, acquired via trade from the Rockies, has gotten 104 at-bats with the Yankees so far this season, hitting .212 (.226 xBA) with 4 HR and 14 RBI.
