PT TOMORROW: AL East—Boxberger's almost back, but Colome strong hold

Tampa Bay Rays

Brad Boxberger (RHP, TAM) will reportedly resume closing duties when he rejoins the Rays, something that could happen as early as this week, as he is three appearances into what was intended to be a four- or five-outing rehabilitation stint. Boxberger has allowed two baserunners in each of those outings, however, including yielding 2 ER May 21. That raises the possibility that Tampa decides to extend his rehabilitation work until Boxberger shows a bit more dominance over Triple-A hitters, as he recovers from an abdominal injury, which required surgery.
