Randal Grichuk (OF, TOR) homered and doubled June 3, a welcome sight for the Blue Jays, who have been struggling to generate offense, and for Grichuk, whose season could hardly have gotten off to a worse start before that performance (7-for-71). Grichuk has always struggled to make contact, but until this season, his power skills have not been in doubt. While one game does not make a trend, Grichuk may have an opportunity to salvage his season as the only reserve outfielder currently on the team’s roster.
