PT TOMORROW: AL East—With NYY 2B job, 'Wade' carefully

While it was natural to assume that the Yankees had acquired Neil Walker (2B, NYY) to be their everyday second baseman, at least until top prospect Gleyber Torres (2B, NYY) arrived, word out of Yankees camp is that may not be the case.

At least one local beat writer indicated that manager Aaron Boone has been talking like not only is Tyler Wade (2B, NYY) a lock to break camp with the Yankees, he may split time with Walker at second base. It is a situation that bears watching. Walker is a switch hitter who has done more damage over the course of his career against RHP (.801 OPS vs. .691 OPS against LHP), against whom the left-handed hitting Wade would figure to get the most of his at-bats.
