In the very near future, the Rays may have quite the roster crunch on their hands in the infield.

While Brandon Lowe (2B, TAM) was unable to make it back to the line immediately after the All-Star Break as he had hoped, his return is more or less imminent.

The same seems to be true of Ji-Man Choi (1B, TAM), who is expected to return over the weekend.

Not only that, but Matt Duffy (3B, TAM) — remember him? — had advanced his rehabilitation work to AAA-Durham as of July 11.

What the influx of player means, first, is that recent call-ups Nathaniel Lowe (1B, TAM) and Michael Brosseau (3B, TAM) will be demoted, no matter how they perform — and each have shown flashes, with Lowe homering in back-to-back games July 5 and 6 and...
