While it is a bit murky given how hard saves have been to come by in Baltimore, it appears that Darren O’Day (RHP, BAL) has moved to the head of the team’s closer committee, pending the return from the disabled list of Zach Britton (LHP, BAL).

In the game in which O’Day logged his most recent save April 29, fellow member of the closer committee Brad Brach (RHP, BAL) pitched in the sixth and seventh inning. Moreover, Brach yielded three hits and two earned runs, and he has now given up at least two hits in four of his last five appearances through May 5.

In a Facts/Flukes column in the preseason, analyst Brandon Kruse called Brach a “questionable short-term saves option.” He has done nothing so far this season to shake...
