Has Steve Clevenger (C, BAL) supplanted Jimmy Paredes (DH, BAL) as the Orioles primary DH against right-handed pitching?

MASN’s Roch Kubatko suggested in a recent blog post that that is indeed the case, at least for the time being.

The move would make some sense given that after a hot start, Paredes has done little at the plate for the better part of two months. Since June 30, a span of 112 AB, Paredes’s slash line is a wimpy .179/.220/.241 (up to that point, it was .321/.350/.516). Entering play August 23, he had last started a game August 12.

Clevenger, meanwhile, is off to a hot start after initially being called up to provide some catching depth while Matt Wieters (C, BAL) dealt with a hamstring injury. Whether the...
