Mike Tauchman (OF, NYY) has been making the most of a chance to play everyday with Brett Gardner (OF, NYY) nursing a knee injury and now on the injured list.

No, Tauchman is not likely to maintain the above-50-percent hit rate he has enjoyed over the last three weeks, but a .351 xBA in July (albeit in only 36 AB) suggests that his performance is not completely smoke and mirrors, and his contact rate has shown marked improvement in his second tour of duty with the Yankees.
