The media says Juan Uribe (3B, CLE; pictured above) is just a passed physical away from the Tribe's roster. He offered a veteran presence for the 2015 NYM stretch run, and Tom Kephart noted in the February 22 PT Today that Uribe has sustained his moderate power and average contact skills. However, of the three teams he played for in 2015, his BA with NYM was the worst with a .219 on a 25% h%, and he has a history of struggling with sub-.250 BAs when his hit rate falls into the mid-20s. That being said, his competition at the hot corner, Giovanny Urshela (3B, CLE), batted .225 on a 27% h%.
