Over each of the past three seasons, no one has attempted more stolen bases than Adalberto Mondesi (SS, KC; pictured above). His Stolen Base Attempt rate (SBA% = (SB + CS)/(BB + singles + HBP) as defined in the 2021 Baseball Forecaster over the past three seasons—61% in 2018, 55% in 2019, 68% in 2020—indicates that he is a threat to steal every time he gets on base. Getting on base has not been his strong point, however, with below-average OBPs over those same three seasons (.306, .291, .294). He did finish strong in September 2020 though, with eight walks to go with 32 hits in an even 100 plate appearances.
