When the White Sox got creative with then-top prospect Eloy Jiménez’s (OF, CHW) contract and signed him to a major league deal at something of a perceived discount, there was some thought that should the opportunity arise again, would the front office take the same tack? We may find out in short order.
Luis Robert (OF, CHW) has rocketed through three levels this season, starting at Single-A Winston-Salem, through Double-A Birmingham, and now at Triple-A Charlotte, putting up an enviable .348/.403/.638 slash line with 21 homers and 33 stolen bases over 356 at bats on the year. Given the demands of center field, he may actually need to work on his defensive jumps and routes, but if this year is any indication, the bat...
