Let's not sugarcoat it: the White Sox starting pitching has been awful so far in 2018. The team ranks dead last in starter ERA in the majors, and Reynaldo López (RHP, CHW) is currently the only starter with an ERA under 5.00. Lopez, along with fellow promising young arms Carson Fulmer (RHP, CHW) and Lucas Giolito (RHP, CHW), will likely be extended patience by the rebuilding White Sox. That could leave struggling veterans and free-agents-to-be Miguel González (RHP, CHW) and James Shields (RHP, CHW) as the rotation spots most at risk.
