With a week of games completed, Myles Straw (OF, CLE) has his spot secure in center field for the Guardians, but those on his flanks on Opening Day are still to be determined. While not a fool-proof method given how big the spring rosters are, ordering the candidates up by games started is an interesting exercise:

Óscar Mercado (OF, CLE) leads the way with four games started, which seems to indicate the club giving him every chance to come away with that job. The 27-year-old showed promise during his 2019 debut, but scuffled mightily in the shortened 2020 and split the season between the majors and AAA in 2021.
