Twenty-two-year-old Diamondbacks SS Jordan Lawlar is the #7 overall prospect in the annual HQ100 prospects list. He missed much of the 2024 season with thumb and hamstring injuries but performed well (.318/.417/.899 with 2 HR and 6 SB in 85 AB) when healthy across three minor league levels. He appeared in 10 games at SS and 4 games at 3B during 2024. He has 896 minor league ABs, but only 116 at the Triple-A level. The Diamondbacks likely view him as their future everyday SS, but it is unclear where he will start the season and how much of an opportunity he will get.
