Even with the recent signing of Luis Arraez and last season’s acquisition of Rafael Devers, there is room in the Giants lineup for a power bat the likes of Bryce Eldridge. San Francisco is coming off a disappointing season that eventually led to a new manager hire, and the team’s lack of HRs couldn’t have helped as the Giants finished in the bottom half of the league in total HRs, 101 behind the MLB-leading Yankees.
Eldridge didn’t show much in his brief September call up, but no one doubts his pedigree. Baseball HQ pegs Eldridge as the Giants’ top prospect with a 9C rating, meaning there is a 50-50 shot at Eldridge becoming an elite contributor – the young man certainly has promise. HRs were a bit of a...
