NL West: The Tatis situation may be even worse than it looks on the surface

Fernando Tatis Jr. officially picked up 2B eligibility for 2026 in most fantasy leagues as of May 12th (he had qualified for a few leagues as of April 28th). What’s more, he is already well on his way to qualify at 2B for next season even in high stakes leagues (as of May 20th, Tatis had 17 of the necessary 20 second base appearances to be 2B-eligible for 2027). Although still stuck at zero for his homer total, his other surface stats aren’t nearly as damaging (.239 BA, 17 R, 15 RBI, .312 OBP) – not great, but not killing managers who roster him. And Tatis has been a huge asset with his running game – 12 SB aren’t shabby in the least, though his 6 CS is a bit concerning considering how most MLB franchises want...
