NL West: Snell signing adds depth to Giants rotation

The good news for the Giants starting pitching staff continues with the signing of free agent Blake Snell to a 2-year, $62 million contract that includes an opt-out after the 2024 season. With the regular season starting next Thursday, it is unclear how long it will take Snell to be ready to make his Giants regular season debut. But Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Snell recently pitched four simulated innings and could appear in a spring training game later this week, so it is possible he is ready to go for the Giants opening series in San Diego.

The signing of Snell allows 22-year-old Kyle Harrison, who made seven starts for the Giants last season (4.15 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 16% K-BB% in 34 IP)...
