Jake Cronenworth, the Padres’ everyday second baseman, is currently on the concussion IL, allowing offseason international free agent acquisition Sung-Mun Song to be called up to San Diego. Song, who started the year on the injury list, has gotten off to a slow power start at AAA El Paso, hitting only one home run in 110 plate appearances (good for a .354 SLG%). His sluggish start grabs our attention as our preseason prediction had him as one of the few sources of power in the Padres’ lineup.
