NL West: Miller eyes a return to LA rotation

RHP Bobby Miller, who has been on the IL since mid-April with right shoulder inflammation, made his first rehab start on Sunday, May 26 at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. Miller made 55 pitches and is expected to make another rehab start on Friday, May 31 or Saturday, June 1. It is unclear if he will need a third rehab start prior to joining the Dodgers rotation, but barring any setbacks should come off the IL in the next week or two.

When Miller returns, the Dodgers will likely largely go with a six-man rotation, with second-year RHP Gavin Stone having earned an opportunity to stick. After a disastrous debut season in 2023, Stone has been very effective for the Dodgers this season. He is third on the team with 57 IP and...
