Prospecting is hard. Look no further than Andrew Painter, one of the most heralded pitching prospects of the post-pandemic era. Before his Tommy John surgery and subsequent lengthy recovery, he was declared by more than one outfit to be the best SP prospect in the minors. As seasoned fantasy managers know, attrition rates for hurlers are higher than a hippie in a hot air balloon. Still, we choose to believe—nay, we must believe—that some of these arms will pan out.
