The Marlins waved an early white flag trading two-time batting champion Luis Arráez to the Padres in exchange for a slew of young prospects. It opens up a clear path to playing time for 26-year-old switch hitter Vidal Bruján to finally get a run at full playing time.
Bruján was a popular fantasy speculation pick up when he was called up be the Rays a few seasons ago because he's put up some ridiculous stolen base seasons in the minors, including swiping 58 bags across two levels as recently as 2021.
