The Men’s March Madness tournament has yet to conclude, leaving a very small subset of wannabe NCAA Nostradamuses who plopped down twenty bones on a bracket still hopped up on hopium. And the Florida Panthers were only just eliminated from NHL playoff contention, becoming the first defending Stanley Cup champion to miss the playoffs the following season since the 2015 Los Angeles Kings. But did you know that only one other South Florida major professional sports franchise has won a league title and failed to make the playoffs the following year? Take a guess who that might be....
