The Brewers have opened up a commanding lead in the NL Central with a 5.5 game margin over the second place St. Louis Cardinals. While every team in the division still has a winning record, no one has been able to match the pace of the surging Brewers.

They've opened up that lead despite some pitching injuries that would likely have been difficult for other teams in the division to weather. Eight different pitchers made starts for Milwaukee during the month of May alone, with Jacob Misiorowski, Kyle Harrison, Logan Henderson, Brandon Sproat, Chad Patrick, Robert Gasser, Shane Drohan and Coleman Crow all towing the rubber in the first inning. That cohort managed to post a 2.48 ERA across 149 starting innings for the Crew...
