NL Central: Michael McGreevy watch in St. Louis

The Cardinals are charging after the first place Cubs and it makes you wonder when they might push Michael McGreevy into the starting rotation. McGreevy has already thrown a 5.2 innings in relief for the Red Birds early in May. That appearance saw him earn his first W in MLB, facing 20 Mets and only giving up one hit, no runs and striking out five while walking just one.

McGreevy has thrived in Triple-A since that opportunity. He's thrown 22 innings in four appearances with an ERA of 1.64. He's struck out 29 batters and walked four during that time.
