The Pirates have a 29-27 record heading into Thursday's action against the Cubs. They've already won two of the games in this four-game series so the worst they could do against their division rivals from Chicago is a split. They are also about to get some reinforcements in one of the best starting rotations in baseball with Jared Jones set to rejoin the team on Friday. 

Jones isn't the only reinforcement heading Pittsburgh's way. They've been aggressively moving pieces around the diamond, including calling up some of their prospects, to fortify their offense.
