DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK: NL West—Offensive woes continue for Blanco, Giants

Grégor Blanco (OF, SF) is mired in a horrific slump, having gone just four for 48 since the All-Star break. Manager Bruce Bochy held him out of the lineup August 7, but he came on to pinch hit, and was back in the lineup the next day. Jeff Francouer (OF, SF), who played mostly center field in the minors, made just his third major league start at the position, but it's doubtful he will see a lot of time there.

Andres Torres (OF, SF) is a candidate for more at-bats at the expense of Blanco, but he's been awful recently as well. He has collected just eight hits in his last 53 at-bats, which has dropped his on-base-percentage under .300 for the season. For the time being, look for Blanco to continue to see regular...
