Gaby Sanchez (1B, PIT) is making a push for playing time in Pittsburgh with a hot spring. Sanchez leads the team with four homers and has a solid BA with 10 hits in 32 AB, suggesting that he may have rediscovered his power. He's giving hope that last season's struggles are behind him.

Sanchez hit 19 homers in both 2010 and 2011 but floundered early last season, hitting only .194 with two homers in the first half. He provided a glimmer of hope with three homers in September, and he has picked up where he left off. Sanchez has played well enough that he should play full-time against left-handed pitching, in a platoon with Garrett Jones (1B/OF, PIT). Jones hits left-handers very poorly, batting only .147 and .189 against...
