AL West: Tucker set to return

Insert “it’s happening” gif. Well, it appears it is happening. Kyle Tucker may be returning to the Astros in the coming weeks. He has ramped up his rehab and is now running normally, which he has been unable to do since his freak injury. Once Tucker can sprint regularly, he will begin a rehab assignment. With the progression the Astros have seen, they believe Tucker will return around Labor Day. 

With Tucker returning, we may see the end of Chas McCormick’s regular at-bats in right field. Over 81 games this season, McCormick is hitting .195 with four home runs and eight steals—quite the disappointing season. McCormick will likely head to the bench and join the Trey Cabbage / Ben Gamel mix for platoon/backup...
