AL West: Trade deadline could lead to 3B shakeup in Anaheim

The Angels have been rumored to be shopping Yoán Moncada and it makes sense to try to maximize a return for a one-year rental. If Moncada is traded, the Angels will have to reshuffle their infield. When Mocada has missed time this season, Luis Rengifo usually slides over to third base. If Rengifo does move to third, the Angels have a handful of options to play second base. 

Christian Moore would be a great option, but he’s currently on the IL with a sprained thumb. He could return shortly after the All-Star break, making him an easy choice. Moore was struggling in his first stint with the Angels, hitting .189 with three home runs over 64 plate appearances. He’s young and could develop, but that requires the...
