The A’s will have one of their regulars returning from the IL soon. Max P. Muncy began a rehab assignment as he’s recovering from a fracture in his left hand. He was doing okay to start the season, but it seemed the underlying potential was what kept people excited about a Muncy breakout. Before the injury, Muncy was hitting .239 with a .217 xBA. He was striking out 35.6% of the time with a 59% ct% and 49% GB%. The power potential is what got people excited. Muncy only had two home runs, but a 134 pX and 129 xPx suggest a lot of power potential. When Muncy comes back, how could the A’s infield situation shake out?
