With disappointing Jorge Polanco (.595 OPS, 5 HR through 181 PA) now on the IL with a strained hamstring, Ryan Bliss is getting what looks like a limited MLB audition, initially as Dylan Moore's 2B partner. Bliss has posted a high bb% and a strong running game in the high minors over the past two seasons, and despite an early 1-for-11 line over his first games at the MLB level, he also owns four walks with a 3/0 SB/CS coupled with encouraging underlying metrics. But 25-year-old-Bliss' career .262 minor league BA keeps our enthusiasm in check for now. 

Once he returns, Polanco will get more rope in an effort to turn his season around. But given the possibility he fails, a contending club with a struggling offense doesn't...
