Recently, the Angels re-signed Yoán Moncada (pictured) to be their primary third baseman. Last year, Moncada hit .234 over 84 games with 12 home runs. He battled injuries throughout the season, limiting a potential power breakout from the 30-year-old Moncada. He barreled the ball a career best 14.3% of the time with a 43.4% hard-hit rate to go with a 16.4% HR/FB. With Moncada back in the fold as the team’s third baseman, there is now a competition brewing at second base.
