Following Justin Turner’s departure, Masataka Yoshida is expected to be Boston’s primary option at designated hitter. With Yoshida set to spend less time in the outfield this season, Boston will enter the spring needing to fill one starting spot in the outfield along with Jarren Duran and offseason acquisition Tyler O'Neill. While the calculus could change depending on whether Boston makes any more moves, it appears that two prospects who ended last season on their active roster will have a real chance to win a regular role.
