AL East: Loperfido getting shot at everyday role

Despite a strong performance at the Triple-A level (.272/.365/.568, 13 HR in 189 PA), Joey Loperfido received sporadic time across several major league stints with Houston. However, it now appears that after being moved to Toronto as part of the package that sent Yusei Kikuchi to Houston, Loperfido will have a shot at earning regular playing time with the Blue Jays.

Thus far, Loperfido appears to be the primary beneficiary of the playing time that Toronto opened up by trading away Justin Turner and Kevin Kiermaier.
