Trout, Soderstrom return from IL for final days of first half

NEWS: Los Angeles activated OF Mike Trout from the 10-day IL and designated 2B Donovan Walton for assignment.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Trout spent three weeks on the IL with a hamstring strain and returned to the lineup on Wednesday in the DH role. Expect the Angels to do their best to limit the stress on Trout’s legs to keep him healthy, but he’ll be in center field most of the time. His return will eat into Wade Meckler’s PT, as he’ll now be competing with Josh Lowe for at-bats against righties in left field. Walton was removed from the 40-man roster, which will open up everyday PT for Oswald Peraza at the keystone position.
