Ginkel enters saves picture in Sewald's wake

NEWS: Right-handed closer Paul Sewald will start the year on the 15-day IL with a Grade 2 left oblique strain.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: It’s the same injury that forced Twins closer Jhoan Duran to begin the year on the IL. Sewald is likely to miss 1-2 months which doesn’t include the time he’ll need to build back up to pitch in a major league game. In his absence, Kevin Ginkel will see the bulk of the saves while Scott McGough and Miguel Castro become the team’s next best right-handed options. The latter two righties should see an influx in holds as they climb the bullpen ladder.
