STARTERS: Spring training questions 2014—AL

Over the next two weeks, we'll take a look at each team's currently projected starting rotation to highlight the spots that could be up for grabs due to an incumbent's shaky skill base or injury history. We'll also help you target MLB guys who could push their way into a rotation slot, either during the spring or at some point in 2014.

Our PT Tomorrow columns will provide closer looks at these battles as they evolve.

At the end of spring training, we'll close the loop by looking at noteworthy sixth starters, guys who don't break camp in their team's starting rotation.

We'll focus on the American League this week before shifting to the National League next week.
