MARKET PULSE: Excercising excruciating impatience

So here's what happens in late April. They're three weeks into the season, which is forever, right? So they get impatient: this guy has an 8.00 ERA, this other guy is batting .184, and they start looking for replacements. I say "they" because "we" certainly don't do things like that, right? Chasing the short-term is a sucker's bet.  What "we" do is pick through the castoffs and up-and-comers to find the true gems, with short-term performance just a blip. That's the goal, anyway. So we'll look at some popular castoffs and popular pickups to see...
