MARKET PULSE: 2014 All-Avoid Team

Last week, we put together a team of undervalued players—guys you can target and hopefully build a strong value core around. This week, we'll do the opposite: assemble a team of players who are generally being overvalued by GMs.

A quick scan of the roster below reveals an interesting dichotomy and an insight into how drafts are flowing this year. The first thing to notice is the catchers. We could barely scrape up two overvalued catchers. This means you can wait to grab your backstops, as GMs aren't rushing to fill their shopping carts with the supposedly "scarce" commodity. The second thing is the relief pitching. Again, not many are going early. GMs have learned their lesson there, too.
