At first glance, Robbie Ray of the Diamondbacks and Danny Duffy of the Royals look like very similar pitchers. Both young lefthanders, both with Dom Rates around 10.5 K/9, both with five wins on the season.

But then the picture pulls out of focus, especially when you slide over to 5x5 value for the YTD. Because while Duffy has provided owners with $11 of fantasy value, with a 3.27/1.07 line, Ray has been a money drain, logging -$3 in fantasy value this year with a 4.40/1.51.
