We are entering Year 6 of the Arsenal Report, with this being our first column of 2026, and the landscape of pitching analysis has changed so much in that time since we started in 2021. We continue to add new data, new ideas of the game, new pitches, such as the sweeper, and different organizational approaches to developing pitchers. Even with all this change, we have tried to stay true to HQ analytical principles. In this vein, we are going to make sure to note that our initial sample of data to work with here is relatively small. Given that we are writing in mid April, we are going to focus less on results, and look for bigger picture approach changes to pitching we have seen so far in March and April.
