Crawford adds sweeper and throws more split-finger fastballs

In 12 GS and 77 IP in 2022, Kutter Crawford (RHP, BOS) posted a 5.47 ERA, a 1.42 WHIP, and 77 K. Despite his 4.45 xERA, the right-hander's skills (79 BPV) finished below average. The right-hander has improved in 2023, as he has a 3.74 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP, and 67 K in 67 IP and 10 GS. His improvements aren't just a shift in S%, as his above-average skills (117 BPV) are helping his results and contributing to a positive R$.
